Founded in 1997 as a spin off of Videogruppo Television, Tex97 based in the Piedmont Region with own ULL network and present throughout Italy, supplies complete broadband access and extensive business communications solutions to OLO and to enterprise customers.
In 2001 Tex 97 started Unbundling Local Loop and supplied broadband to other OLOs and from 2005 Tex97 provided services direct to the end user. Today Tex97 reaches over 850.000 homes and 200.000 enterprise customers with its own broadband network.
Tex97 is the first operator to launch a free wi-fi service in Italy, covering Torino and Alessandria and is evolving the service to potentially include the wider Wi-Max spectrum that Tex97 is bidding for, in order to become a real carrier alternative for customers looking for broadband access.
Leveraging on the Media industry experience and credentials of the Tex97 management team, the VCast video project, provides TV movies and video via the Internet. Vcast, although still in pre-commercial form, has already attracted 40 thousand registered users.
Now, as a Level 3 Master Reseller, TEX97 can supply high quality IP transit tailored to our customers high-bandwidth needs.
