Level 3 Announces Extended Agreement with Yahoo!

Level 3 to Become One of Yahoo!?s Primary Providers of Bandwidth Services

BROOMFIELD, Colo., April 9, 2001 - Level 3 Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:LVLT) today announced that it has signed a new multi-year, multi-million dollar agreement with Yahoo! further extending their relationship in North America. Under the terms of this new agreement, Yahoo! will use Level 3's (3)CrossRoads Internet access service for delivery of its digital content and streaming applications. This includes the core Yahoo! services, Yahoo! Broadcast and Yahoo! Finance Vision. "We are extremely pleased to expand our relationship with Yahoo!" said Kevin J.
