- Digital Fiber Video — Vyvx services, offers customers a unique high-bandwidth occasional fiber video transport solution for high quality transmissions. With the Vyvx Digital Fiber Video Transport, customers may place reservations for ad-hoc transmission or exchange of high quality video content. This service supports the following applications:
- 270 Mbps Uncompressed Serial Digital Interface (SDI) digital video - Perfect for production and post-production applications where workflow requires content exchange.
- 270 Mbps High Definition (HD) Serial Digital Transport Interface (SDTi) - Perfect for HD newsgathering, interviews and high profile events.
- 213 Mbps High Definition Asynchronous Serial Interface (ASI) digital video - Also suitable for HD newsgathering, interviews and high profile events.
Regardless of the desired format, Vyvx services offers customers choice for the right high quality transport solution.
- MPEG-2 Compressed Fiber Video — Through our MPEG-2 Compressed Fiber Video service, Vyvx services gives you occasional video transmission services at bandwidth increments to meet your business needs. Select bandwidths from 3 to 22 Mbps in 1 Mbps increments to meet your specific transmission requirement:
- For News and Cameo Feeds (not requiring editing or production): Choose our 3 through 7 Mbps service
- For Rich Media Content (requiring editing and post-production): Choose our 8 through 22 Mbps service
Vyvx services occasional Hybrid MPEG-2 Compressed Video service expands the reach of the MPEG-2 Compressed video network by enabling compressed signals to originate or terminate at any Vyvx TSC that offers 45 Mbps fiber video transport service, providing that the signal originates or terminates in one of the MPEG-2 Compressed Vyvx TSC locations. Hybrid Services are available on an occasional basis at selectable bandwidth offerings.
- DV 45 Analog Video — Providing coast-to-coast coverage in the United States, Vyvx services occasional and dedicated 45 Mbps Fiber Video services are offered between 54 Vyvx Television Switching Centers and Television Center locations within the U.S. with extended reach into Canada. Our services connect to our fiber-optic network via a TV-1 or DS-3 local loop. Our service options include:
- Occasional Service — Our occasional service platform supports news, sports and special event broadcasting via connectivity to 50 major markets, as well as more than 40 production facilities and most major professional sports venues across the nation. Occasional service is available in 15-minute increments and may be booked as either uni-directional or bi-directional. Both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint reservations between our television switching centers can be made on our award-winning network.
- Dedicated Service — Mirroring occasional service, our dedicated service is booked on a 24-hour basis for a term of one week or longer.
